Inspirational Autumn

Oops! how crappy have i been at updating my blog!! I've a few photos to share which regrettably are not the best quality as they were taken on my rubbish HTC phone with it's mightily scratched lens! currently having a few issues with getting the other photos of my work but still i'll share with you the ones that i do have and hopefully some day soon fill in the blanks with A LOT more pictures!

Ok so first i have for you a little design i did months back for an 'in house' competition we had at the shop... as it stands no one has actually had this as a tattoo (mainly because it hasn't been on display, it's been in my folder!) so if anyone wants it please give me a shout as i'd love to do it and may even do it at a bargain price ;-)

Next up is a fun tattoo i did on a friend at the end of a busy saturday, I really enjoyed doing this tattoo so if anyone wants something similar then once again give me a shout!

This next tattoo really gave me a chance to play with some of my favourite colours with a lovely marine theme. The was on a holiday maker than just happened to stumble upon the shop while visiting Bridport and after i'd drawn it left with a tattoo he'd been contemplating for years!

I did this bow tattoo just this week (yesterday in fact!) this is a custom design and i have to say i absolutely love doing these very girly feminine tattoos, i enjoyed every second of this piece (helped along muchly by this fab customer sitting so well!)

Today has been quiet in the shop and so I've spent much of it drawing, I've a little collection now of custom designs i'd really like to tattoo so once I've finalised the line drawings i'll get some pics up and perhaps you may just see the tattoo you've always wanted ;-) these tattoos (as they are things I'd love to have in my portfolio) will come with pocket pleasing prices... even up to half price for some!

Alas we have come to the end of this blog post due to my unfortunate lack of photos! it may look like i've done barely any tattoos but i assure you i've been working my butt off and when i get them i will be posting lots of pictures for your viewing pleasure :-)

Some new work to share

So in 2 sessions from start to completion this tattoo took 4.5 hours. This is the center piece for what will be a lower leg sleeve of a 'wreck site' sea bed.

I'm really pleased with how it's turned out! let me know what you think...

Productive day at HQ

So today i went to my friends warehouse and rummaged through a massive room full of material... i know, i know you are thinking *what the hell has this got to do with tattooing* and you're right.... the answer is not a great deal! but still i see creativity in many forms and for me sewing is just one of the many ways that i love to be creative :) Had an awesome time btw!! haha

Tonight i'm gonna get my head down and draw a memorial tattoo for a friend and figure out the colour scheme for Will's leg (who btw can be found at the following site if fishing is your 'thang *shameless plugging right there!*)

Have a lovely evening y'all

Porstmouth Tattoo Extravaganza

I went to the 2nd Portsmouth Tattoo Extravaganza at the weekend, It's always inspiring to see some of my idols of the tattoo world at work and once again i came away from a convention with a revived drive to progress more!
While wandering around I saw Dan Smith (made famous by L.A ink) and Lindsey Carmichael (Goldrush Tattoo) Andrea Furci (Family Business) Joe Capobianco, Hannah Aitcheson (Deluxe Tattoo) Stefano C (Frith Street) amongst many many more!

Also might have made a few purchases (oops!) i got Andrea Furci's sketch book which i asked him to sign and he was genuinely shocked that i should what him to sign it! I was really taken back by how humble such an amazing artist could be: very grounding indeed... i think so many get above their station and this mans reaction to my request was inspiring to say the least.
While buying sketch books i was drawn in by Lindsey Carmichael's and so *needed* to get it (lol) I stopped by at Lindsey's booth to watch him tattoo a clients neck and he was fascinating to watch.

Popped by to see a Tattooist i was introduced to in his own shop a couple of years ago: Derek Campbell and while there bought a new liner off of him, after using it yesterday i can HIGHLY recommend this man as a machine builder! Seriously: tattoo machines made by tattooists for tattooists are the way forward!!

Anyhow, i'm off... actually got to get to work now!
